أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، أنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي، نا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، نا شُعْبَةُ،
قَالَ: قَالَ لِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ: مَا اسْمُكَ؟ قُلْتُ: شُعْبَةُ قَالَ: فَقَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ، قَالَ: وَرَأَى رَجُلًا لَطَمَ غُلَامًا، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الصُّورَةَ مُحَرَّمَةٌ؟ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي وَأَنَا سَابِعُ سَبْعَةِ إِخْوَةٍ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَمَا لَنَا إِلَّا خَادِمٌ وَاحِدٌ، فَلَطَمَهُ أَحَدُنَا، قَالَ: " فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُعْتِقَهُ " أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ، مِنْ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ
