أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ، نا أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْحِيرِيُّ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أَنْشَدَنِي أَبِي:
" إِنَّ طُولَ الْعِتَابِ يُورَثُ ضَعْفًا... وَدَوَاءُ الْعِتَابِ تَرْكُ الْعِتَابِ
