سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَصْرِ بْنَ قَتَادَةَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْمُقْرِئَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ شَيْبَانَ الرَّمْلِيَّ،
يَقُولُ: اجْتَمَعَ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، وَسُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، وَفُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، وعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: أَلَيْسَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: " إِنَّ حُسْنَ الْخُلُقِ لِيُبَلِّغُ دَرَجَةَ الصَّائِمِ الْقَائِمِ "، فَاتَّفَقُوا عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ: بَسْطِ الْوَجْهِ، وَكَفِّ الْأَذَى، وَبَذْلِ الْمَعْرُوفِ
