أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ سَالِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْآدَمِيُّ، بِمَكَّةَ، ثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ
قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ دَاوُدَ الطَّائِيَّ وَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: أَلَا تُسَرِّحُ لِحْيَتَكَ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي عَنْهُ مَشْغُولٌ "
