أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، ثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ، مَوْلَى شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ،
قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ عَلَيْهِ إِزَارٌ عَدَنِيٌّ غَلِيظٌ ثَمَنُهُ أَرْبَعَةُ دَرَاهِمَ أَوْ خَمْسَةُ وَرِيطَةٍ كُوفِيَّةٌ مُمَشَّقَةٌ ضَرَبَ اللَّحْمِ طَوِيلُ اللِّحْيَةِ حَسَنُ الْوَجْهِ "
