✧ Guarding the tongue against boasting of forefathers, especially those of pre-Islamic times, and claiming greatness through them, which is unlawful

وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ النُّكْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْجَوْزَاءِ
يَقُولُ: " مَا لَعَنْتُ شَيْئًا قَطُّ، وَلَا أَكَلْتُ شَيْئًا مَلْعُونًا قَطُّ، وَلَا آذَيْتُ أَحَدًا قَطُّ "
