✧ Guarding the tongue against boasting of forefathers, especially those of pre-Islamic times, and claiming greatness through them, which is unlawful

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي قُمَاشٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نَسِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي رَيْحَانَةَ،

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: " مَنِ انْتَسَبَ إِلَى تِسْعَةِ آبَاءٍ كُفَّارٍ يُرِيدُ بِهِمْ عِزًّا وَشَرَفًا فَهُوَ عَاشِرُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ "
