أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْكَاذِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، قَالَ: أُخْبِرْتُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكَّارُ بْنُ سُقَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَقِيلِ بْنِ شُمَيْرٍ الرِّبَاحِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،
قَالَ: شَرِبَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ مَاءً بَارِدًا فَبَكَى فَاشْتَدَّ بُكَاؤُهُ، فَقِيلَ: مَا يُبْكِيكَ؟ قَالَ: " ذَكَرْتُ آيَةً فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَحِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُونَ} [سبأ: 54] فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّ أَهْلَ النَّارِ لَا يَشْتَهُونَ إِلَّا الْمَاءَ الْبَارِدَ، وَقَدْ قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {أَفِيضُوا عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللهُ} [الأعراف: 50] "
