أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْفَارِسِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ فَارِسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ أخبرنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَهْمُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ، سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، وَمَرَّ بِهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رُسْتُمٍ فِي مَوْكِبِهِ،
فَقَالَ لِابْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ: إِنِّي لَيَسُرُّنِي مُجَالَسَتُكَ وَحَدِيثُكَ. فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، قَالَ: " لَا تَغْبِطَنَّ فَاجِرًا بِنِعْمَةٍ، إِنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَ اللهِ قَاتلًا لَا يَمُوتُ ". فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ وَهْبَ بْنَ مُنَبِّهٍ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ أَبَا دَاوُدَ الْأَعْوَرَ: مَا قَاتلًا لَا يَمُوتُ؟ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ: " النَّارُ "
