أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ شَمَّاسٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ،
يَقُولُ: رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ، فِي الْمَنَامِ، فَقُلْتُ: أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ وَجَدْتَ أَفْضَلُ. قَالَ: " الْأَمْرُ الَّذِي كُنْتُ فِيهِ " قُلْتُ: الرِّبَاطُ، وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ ". قُلْتُ: فَأَيُّ شَيْءٍ صَنَعَ بِكَ رَبُّكَ؟. قَالَ: " غَفَرَ لِي مَغْفِرَةً تَتْبَعُهَا مَغْفِرَةٌ، وَكَلَّمَتْنِي امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ - أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ - "
