أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدَ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مُصْبِحٍ،
قَالَ: قِيلَ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ بِأَرْضِ الرُّومِ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَلَا تَرْكَبُ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: " مَنِ اغْبَرَّتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَرَّمَهُمَا اللهُ عَلَى النَّارِ ". قَالَ: " وَأَصْلَحَ دَابَّتِي وَاسْتَغْنَى، عَنْ عَشِيرَتِي فَمَا رُئِيَ يَوْمًا أَكْثَرَ مَاشِيًا مِنْهُ
