أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ، بِبَغْدَادَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْكُوفِيُّ بِهَا، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ الْغِفَارِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعُمَيْسِ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ،
أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ آيَةٌ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ تَقْرَؤُنَهَا، لَوْ عَلَيْنَا مَعْشَرَ الْيَهُودِ نَزَلَتْ لَاتَّخَذْنَا ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ عِيدًا، قَالَ: " أَيُّ آيَةٍ؟ "، قَالَ: {الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا} [المائدة: 3]، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: " قَدْ عَرَفْنَا ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ وَالْمَكَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ فِيهِ، نَزَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَرَفَاتٍ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ". أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَوْنٍ
