أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ وَاصِلًا، مَوْلَى أَبِي عُيَيْنَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ،
قَالَ: " بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ فِي الْبَحْرِ غُزَاةً إِذْ مُنَادٍ يُنَادِي: يَا أَهْلَ السَّفِينَةِ قِفُوا نُخْبِرُكُمْ، قَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى: قُلْتُ: أَلَا تَرَى الرِّيحَ لَنَا طَيِّبَةً، وَالشِّرَاعَ لَنَا مَرْفُوعَةً، وَالسَّفِينَةَ تَجْرِي بِنَا فِي لُجَّةِ الْبَحْرِ، قَالَ: أَفَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِقَضَاءٍ قَضَاهُ اللهُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ؟، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: بَلَى، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَضَى عَلَى نَفْسِهِ أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ عَطَّشَ نَفْسَهُ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي الدُّنْيَا يَوْمًا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يَرْوِيَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ "
