وَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ ابْنُ بِشْرانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا حَنْبَلٌ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ،
فَذَكَرَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " إِلَّا نَزَعْنَاها تَعْظِيمًا لِلشَّهْرِ ". أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ عَنِ الصَّلْتِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مَهْدِيِّ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ أَتَمُّ مِنْهُ فِي قِصَّةِ مُسَيْلِمَةَ الْكَذَّابِ
