He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Whoever fasts one day of Rajab, it is like fasting a year. Whoever fasts seven days, the seven gates of Hell are closed to him. Whoever fasts eight days, the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him. Whoever fasts ten days will not ask God, Mighty and Majestic, for anything except that He gives it to him. Whoever fasts fifteen days, a caller from the heaven calls out: I have forgiven you what has passed, so begin the deeds anew, I have replaced your evil deeds with good deeds. And whoever adds more, God, Mighty and Majestic, will add more for him. In the month of Rajab Noah was carried in the Ark, so Noah fasted and commanded those with him to fast, and the Ark sailed with them for six months, until the end of that, on the tenth of Muharram." Imam Aḥmad said: "I also have another hadith mentioning every day of Rajab, and it is a fabricated hadith (mawḍūʿ) that I have not recorded."
