حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْفَهَانِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْبَنَّاءِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْجُنَيْدِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ،
قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ وُهَيْبَ بْنَ الْوَرْدِ صَلَّى ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ الْعِيدَ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ النَّاسُ جَعَلُوا يَمُرُّونَ بِهِ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ، ثُمَّ زَفَرَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " لَئِنْ كَانَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمُ أَصْبَحُوا مُسْتَيْقِنِينَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهُمْ شَهْرُهُمْ هَذَا، لَكَانَ يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ أَنْ يُصْبِحُوا مَشَاغِيلَ بأدَاءِ الشُّكْرِ، وَلَئِنْ كَانَتِ الْأُخْرَى لَقَدْ كَانَ يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ أَنْ يُصْبِحُوا أَشْغَلَ وَأَشْغَلَ "
