I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There is no servant who begins the morning fasting except that the doors of heaven are opened for him, his limbs glorify Allah, and the people of the lowest heaven seek forgiveness for him, until he is concealed by the veil (at sunset). If he prays one rakʿah or two, the heavens are lit up for him with light, and his wives among the wide-eyed houris say: O Allah, take him to us, for we long to see him. And if he says 'lā ilāha illā Allāh', and glorifies Allah (subḥān Allāh), and declares His greatness (Allāhu akbar), seventy thousand angels meet him, writing down its reward until he is concealed by the veil."
