The Prophet ﷺ — that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "On the Day of Resurrection the earth will be stretched out for the majesty of the Most Merciful, majestic is His praise, and no one will have in it anything but the place of his foot. I will be the first to be called, and I will find Jibrīl, peace be upon him, standing at the right of the Most Merciful. No, by the One in whose hand is my soul, he had not seen Allah before it. He said: So I will say: My Lord, this one came to me and claimed that You sent him to me. He said: And Jibrīl will be silent. He said: Then He, Mighty and Majestic, will say: He has spoken the truth, I sent him to you. What is your need? So I will say: My Lord, I left servants of Yours who worshipped You in the far corners of the lands and remembered You in the ravines of the hills, awaiting the answer of what I bring from You. He will say: Indeed, I will not disgrace you regarding them." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "This is the praised station of which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: {عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا} [al-Isrāʾ: 79]."

machine translationA group narrated it from Ibrāhīm b. Saʿd. al-Bayhaqī, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "Its completion is in the other narrations that have come regarding intercession, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: {وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى} [al-Ḍuḥā: 5]." We have narrated from the hadith of ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ that the Prophet ﷺ recited the words of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, concerning Ibrāhīm: {رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ أَضْلَلْنَ كَثِيرًا مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَمَنْ تَبِعَنِي فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّي} [Ibrāhīm: 36], and what ʿĪsā son of Maryam said: {إِنْ تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ} [al-Māʾidah: 118], the verse. Then he raised his hands and said: "O Allah, my ummah, my ummah," and he wept. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: "O Jibrīl, go to Muḥammad, and your Lord knows best, and ask him what makes him weep." So Jibrīl came to him and asked him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him what he had said, though He knows best. Then Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said: "O Jibrīl, go to Muḥammad and say: We will please you concerning your ummah and will not displease you."
