أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ السُّكَّرِيُّ، بِبَغْدَادَ، حدثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، حدثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حدثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حدثنا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:
سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صَوْتَ أَبِي مُوسَى وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ، فَقَالَ: " لَقَدْ أُوتِيَ أَبُو مُوسَى مِزْمَارًا مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ " قَالَ: فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ أَبَا مُوسَى، فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى: لَوْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْتَمِعُ لقِرَاءَتِي لَحَبَّرْتُهَا تَحْبِيرًا أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ دُونَ قَوْلِ أَبِي مُوسَى

Muslim narrated it by another route from Mālik b. Mighwal, without the saying of Abū Mūsā.
