أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أخبرنا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حدثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ، حدثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أخبرنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ،
قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَارًا لِخَبَّابِ بْنِ الْأَرَتِّ فَخَرَجْنَا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَقَالَ: " يَا هَنَاهْ، تَقَرَّبْ إِلَى اللهِ بِمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ، فَإِنَّكَ لَنْ تُقَرَّبَ بِشَيْءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ كَلَامِهِ "
