سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ العَبَّاسِ الضَّبِّيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ نومر يَقُولُ: حدثنا مَجْزَأَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حدثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حدثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ
قَالَ: " الْعَالِمُ طَبِيبُ الدِّينِ، وَالدَّرَاهِمُ دَاءُ الدِّينِ، فَإِذَا اجْتَرَّ الطَّبِيبُ الدَّاءَ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ فَمَتَى يُدَاوِي غَيْرَهُ "
