أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أخبرنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حدثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ أَخُو خَطَّابٍ، حدثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ أَبُو طَالِبٍ الْهَرَوِيُّ، حدثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ عَنْتَرَةَ،
فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ، وَقَالَ: " وَكُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا وَشَهِيدًا " قَالَ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ: " هَذَا مَتْنٌ مَشْهُورٌ فِيمَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ، وَلَيْسَ لَهُ إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ "
