أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّلَمِيُّ، حدثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ الْمَدِينِيُّ، حدثنا أَبُو عَمْرٍو أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الْمُسْتَمْلِي، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْفَرَّاءُ، حدثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ
قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " عَرَضَ عَلَيَّ رَبِّي أَنْ يَجْعَلَ بَطْحَاءَ مَكَّةَ ذَهَبًا، فَقُلْتُ: لَا يَا رَبِّ، وَلَكِنْ أَشْبَعُ يَوْمًا وَأَجُوعُ يَوْمًا، فَإِذَا جُعْتُ تَضَرَّعْتُ، وَإِذَا شَبِعْتُ حَمِدْتُكَ وَذَكَرْتُكَ "
