From the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "I was given the most comprehensive of speech (jawāmiʿ al-kalim)", and the ḥadīth was abridged for me with a great abridgement. Al-Bayhaqī, may God have mercy on him, said: We have narrated in the authentic ḥadīth, from Ibn al-Musayyib, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "I was sent with the most comprehensive of speech." The apparent meaning is that he intended by it the Qurʾān, and the context of the ḥadīth from ʿUmar on this matter indicates that. Al-Ḥalīmī, may God have mercy on him, took it to mean the speech of the Prophet ﷺ, and both are possible. So indeed
