أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَالْقَاضِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ،
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَالِي أَرَى عُلَمَاءَكُمْ يَذْهَبُونَ، وَأَرَى جُهَلَاءَكُمْ لَا يَتَعَلَّمُونَ؟ اعْلَمُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ الْعِلْمُ فَإِنَّ رَفْعَ الْعِلْمَ ذَهَابُ الْعُلَمَاءِ، مَالِي أَرَاكُمْ تَحْرِصُونَ عَلَى مَا تَكَفَّلَ لَكُمْ بِهِ وَتُضَيِّعُونَ مَا وُكِّلْتُمْ بِهِ؟ لِأَنَا أَعْلَمِ بِشِرَارِكُمْ مِنَ الْبِيطَارِ بِالْخَيْلِ، هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَأْتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ إِلَّا دَبْرًا، وَلَا يَسْمَعُونَ الْقُرْآنَ إِلَّا هُجْرًا وَلَا يَعْتِقُ مُحَرَّرُوهُمْ " هَذَا مَوْقُوفٌ وَفِيهِ مَعْنَى اللَّفْظِ الَّذِي فِي آخِرِ الْحَدِيثِ الْمَرْفُوعِ
