أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيِّ بْنُ شَاذَانَ، أَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، نَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، نَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَرْعَرَةَ بْنِ الْبَرْمَدِ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى الْمُزَكِّي، نَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ ح، وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، وَأَبُو سَهْلٍ الْمِهْرَانِيُّ، وَأَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، قَالُوا: أَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْقَاضِي، قَالَ: قُرِئَ عَلَى أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَرْعَرَةَ، نَا شُعْبَةُ، فَذَكَرُوهُ غَيْرَ
أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا: صَحِبْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَكَانَ يَخْدُمُنِي، وَكَانَ أَسَنَّ مِنِّي. فَذَكَرَهُ وَقَالَ: أَلَا أَكْرَمْتُهُ. وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ: وَكَانَ أَكْبَرَ وَأَسَنَّ مِنِّي. وَفِي رِوَايَةِ يَعْقُوبَ: وَكَانَ أَكْبَرَ مِنِّي السِّنَّ.
