أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ، أَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مَحْمَوَيْهِ، نَا عَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، نَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيُّ، نَا الْأَصْمَعِيُّ
قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْبَرْمَكِيِّ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ: أَعِدْنِي أَيُّهَا الْأَمِيرُ. قَالَ: " هُوَ ذَاكَ صَاحِبُ الشُّرْطِيُّ عَلَى الْبَابِ ". قَالَ: أَعِدْنِي أَيُّهَا الْأَمِيرُ. قَالَ: " وَيْحَكَ، مَا أَعَدْتُكَ؟ "، قَالَ: عَلَى الْفَقِيرِ. قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، يَا غُلَامُ ادْفَعْ إِلَيْهِ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ "
