أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، نَا الْكُدَيْمِيُّ، نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي أَسْوَدَ، حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ الصَّوَّافِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ،
قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: " يَا بَنِي سَلِمَةَ مَنْ سَيِّدُكُمْ؟ "، قَالُوا: الْجَدُّ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، وَإِنَّا لَنُبَخِّلُهُ. قَالَ: " وَأَيُّ دَاءٍ أَدْوَى مِنَ الْبُخْلِ؟ بَلْ سَيِّدُكُمُ الْخَيْرُ الْأَبْيَضُ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْجَمُوحِ ". قَالَ: وَكَانَ عَلَى أَضْيَافِهِمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ. قَالَ: وَكَانَ يُولِمُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ.
