أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ بْنُ حَمْكَوَيْهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مُعَاذٍ الرَّازِيَّ،
يَقُولُ: " لَوْ سَمِعَتِ الْخَلِيقَةُ دَمْدَمَةَ النَّارَ لَتَصَدَّعَتِ الْقُلُوبُ فَرَقًا، وَلَوْ تَرَى الْقُلُوبُ كُنْهَ الْمَحَبَّةِ لِخَالِقِهَا لَانْخَلَعَتْ مَفَاصِلُهَا إِلَيْهِ وَلَهَا، وَلَطَارَتِ الْأَرْوَاحُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَبْدَانِهَا دَهَشًا، فَسُبْحَانَ مَنْ أَغْفَلَ الْخَلِيقَةَ عَنْ كُنْهِ هَذِهِ الْأَشْيَاءِ، وَأَلْهَاهُمْ بِالْوَصْفِ عَنْ حَقَائِقِ هَذِهِ الْأَشْيَاءِ "
