أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخَلَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَرَّازُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ السُّكَّرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ،
قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى مَالِكِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَرَأَيْتُ عِنْدَهُ شَهْرَ بْنَ حَوْشَبٍ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ قُلْتُ لِشَهْرٍ: يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ، زَوِّدْنِي زَوَّدَكَ اللهُ، فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ، عَنْ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، عَنْ رَبِّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَالَ: " قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ: عَبْدِي مَا عَبَدْتَنِي وَرَجَوْتَنِي، وَلَمْ تُشْرِكْ بِي شَيْئًا غَفَرْتُ لَكَ عَلَى مَا كَانَ مِنْكَ، وَلَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتَنِي بِمِلْءِ الْأَرْضِ خَطَايَا وَذُنُوبًا اسْتَقْبَلْتُكَ بِمِلْئِهَا مَغْفِرَةً، أَغْفِرُ لَكَ وَلَا أُبَالِي "

And if you were to come to Me with an earth full of mistakes and sins, I would meet you with an earth full of forgiveness. I forgive you and I do not mind."
