Obligation of Jihad

- وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:
"لا تتمنوا لقاء العدو، فإذا لقيتموه فاصبروا"
Translation
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Do not wish for an encounter with the enemy. Pray to Allah to grant you safety; (but) when you encounter them, show patience." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
