Quran Ya-Sin 36:74

وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةٗ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ

Translation

But they have taken besides Allāh [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.
