"The Messenger of Allah said: The one who does not pay Zakah on his wealth, his wealth will appear to him on the Day of Resurrection like a bald-headed Shuja 'a [2] with two dots above its eyes. It will hold onto him or encircle him and will say: I am your hoarded treasure, I am your hoarded treasure."'

- Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr
machine translationWhat is preserved (maḥfūẓ) on this subject is the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, both as raised to the Prophet (marfūʿ) and as halted at the Companion (mawqūf). As for the ḥadīth of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Mājishūn, in my view it contains an error in the chain of transmission (isnād).
in سنن النسائي, p. 2482 - Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr
machine translationMālik narrated it from ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār and made it stop at Abū Hurayrah (mawqūf). ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. al-Mājishūn narrated it from ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār but differed in the chain, saying in it "from Ibn ʿUmar"; al-Nasāʾī recorded it in this way. Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr said: It is, in my view, an error, and the narration of Mālik and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān is the sound (ṣaḥīḥ) one.
