أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مِسْمَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَامِرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَهُوَ يُنَاوِلُهُ السَّهْمَ «ارْمِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي» قَالَ فَرَمَيْتُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَأَقْعَصْتُهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ رِوَايَةُ اللَّيْثِ وَعِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ أَوْلَى عِنْدَنَا بِالصَّوَابِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said on the day of Uhud, while handing him the arrow, 'Shoot, may my father and mother be your ransom.' He said, 'I shot a man from the polytheists and killed him on the spot.' Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said, 'The narration of al-Layth and 'Isa b. Yunus is more likely to be correct according to us than the hadith of Sufyan b. 'Uyaynah, and God knows best.'
