أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ أَسْبَاطٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ لَا يَخِيبُ قَائِلُهُنَّ يُسَبِّحُ اللهَ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَيَحْمَدُهُ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَيُكَبِّرُهُ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَقَفَهُ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ

Translation

  6. Kaʿb b. ʿUjrah

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “They are mu’aqqibat (repeated phrases); the one who says them will not fail: he glorifies God after every prayer thirty-three times, praises Him thirty-three times, and magnifies Him thirty-four times.” Mansur b. al-Mu’tamir stopped it (as his own statement).
