أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ حُصَينٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ زَاذَانَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الضُّحَى ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الْغَفُورُ» حَتَّى قَالَهَا مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدِيثُ شُعْبَةَ وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ وَعَبَّادِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ أَوْلَى عِنْدَنَا بِالصَّوَابِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ خَالِدٍ وَبِاللهِ التَّوْفِيقُ وَقَدْ كَانَ حُصَينُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ اخْتَلَطَ فِي آخِرِ عُمُرِهِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed al-duha, then said, "O Allah, forgive me and turn to me; indeed You are the Ever-Relenting, the Forgiving," until he said it one hundred times. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: The hadith of Shu'bah, Abd al-Aziz b. Muslim, and Abbad b. al-Awwam is more correct in our view than the hadith of Khalid, and success is by Allah. Husayn b. Abd al-Rahman had indeed become confused in the last part of his life.
