أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَلِيحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَتْ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَهَا فِي يَوْمِهَا فَسَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يُؤَذِّنُ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى يَفْرَغَ» خَالَفَهُ شُعْبَةُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُتْبَةَ

✧ "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he was with her on her day and heard the mu'adhdhin giving the adhan, would say as he says until he finished." Shu'bah differed from him; he narrated it from Abu Bishr Ja'far b. Iyas, from Abu al-Malih, from Umm Habibah, and did not mention 'Abdullah b. 'Utbah.
