أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ نِسْوَتِنَا عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

لَمَّا ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْإِسْبَالِ مَا ذَكَرَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ النِّسَاءَ كَيْفَ بِهِنَّ؟ قَالَ «يُرْخِينَ ذِرَاعًا»

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ mentioned what he mentioned about letting the garment hang low, I said: "O Messenger of God, what do you think about women? What about them?" He said: "They should let it down a forearm's length."
