أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ خَطَبَ بِالْجَابِيَةِ فَقَالَ §نَهَى نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ

عَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ إِصْبَعَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةً أَوْ أَرْبَعَةً وَقَفَهُ دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ وَوَبْرَةُ

✧ From wearing silk except the area of two fingers, or three, or four. Dawud b. Abi Hind, Ismail, and Wabarah traced it as a statement of a Companion.
