أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي صَفْوَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ كَذَا قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَإِنْ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ لَبِسَهُ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ وَلَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ» قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ وَالصَّوَابُ دَاوُدُ السَّرَّاجُ

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: “Whoever wears silk in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter. Even if he enters Paradise, the people of Paradise will wear it, but he will not.” Abu Abd al-Rahman said to us: This is a mistake, and the correct one is Dawud al-Sarraj.
