أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ لَا تُلْبِسُوا نِسَاءَكُمُ الْحَرِيرَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ لَبِسَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ» قَالَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ إِنَّهُ مَنْ لَبِسَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَدْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى {وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ} [الحج 23] وَقَفَتْهُ حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ سِيرِينَ

✧ the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever wears it in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter." Ibn al-Zubayr said: Indeed, whoever wears it in this world will not enter Paradise. Allah, Exalted is He, said: {And their clothing therein will be silk} [al-Hajj 23]. Hafsah bt. Sirin stopped it (as mawquf).
