✧ Abu Huraira about the gold ring and the disagreement regarding Qatada on it.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّضْرَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدِيثُ شُعْبَةَ أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ

Translation

✧ On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he prohibited the wearing of gold rings. Abu Abdur Rahman said that the narration of Shu'bah is more accurate than the narration of Al-Hajjaj bin Al-Hajjaj. Allah knows best.
