✧ Does someone who breaks their nose make it out of gold?

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْهَبِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ طَرْفَةَ عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ بْنِ أَسْعَدَ بْنِ كَرْبٍ قَالَ وَكَانَ جَدَّهُ قَالَ

حَدَّثَنِي أَنَّهُ رَأَى جَدَّهُ قَدْ أُصِيبَ أَنْفُهُ يَوْمَ الْكِلَابِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ قَالَ فَاتَّخَذَ أَنْفًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَأَنْتَنَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَهُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ

✧ He told me that he saw his grandfather whose nose was cut on the day of al-Kilab in the Jahiliyyah. He said: So he made a nose of silver, but it became putrid. He said: So the Prophet ﷺ commanded him to make it of gold.
