أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أُتِيَ عُمَرُ بِامْرَأَةٍ تَشِمُ فَقَالَ «§أَنْشُدُكُمْ بِاللهِ هَلْ

سَمِعَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟» قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ قَالَ «فَمَا سَمِعْتَهُ؟» فَقُلْتُ «سَمِعْتُهُ» يَقُولُ «لَا تَشِمْنَ وَلَا تَسْتَوْشِمْنَ»

✧ "Has any of you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" Abu Hurairah said: I said: "O Commander of the Faithful, I heard him." He said: "What did you hear him say?" I said: "I heard him say: 'Do not tattoo and do not ask to be tattooed.'"
