أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

«لَعَنَ اللهُ الْمُتَنَمِّصَاتِ وَالْمُتَفَلِّجَاتِ وَالْمُؤْتَشِمَاتِ وَالْمُغَيِّرَاتِ خَلْقَ اللهِ» فَأَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ «أَنْتَ الَّذِي تَقُولُ كَذَا وَكَذَا» فَقَالَ وَمَا لِي لَا أَقُولُ مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَحَدِيثُ مَنْصُورٍ أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ

Translation

✧ "God has cursed those who pluck their eyebrows, those who file their teeth for beauty, those who have tattoos, and those who change God's creation." A woman came to him and said: "Are you the one who says such and such?" He said: "And why should I not say what the Messenger of God ﷺ said?" Abu Abd al-Rahman said: "And the hadith of Mansur is more likely to be correct, and God knows best."
