✧ Prohibition of dyeing with black dye

أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

أُتِيَ بِأَبِي قُحَافَةَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَرَأْسُهُ وَلِحْيَتُهُ كَالثَّغَامَةِ بَيَاضًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «غَيِّرُوا هَذَا بِشَيْءٍ وَاجْتَنِبُوا السَّوَادَ»

✧ Abu Quhafah was brought on the day of the conquest of Makkah, and his head and beard were as white as the thaghamah plant. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Change this with something, and avoid black."
