أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَنَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «غَيِّرُوا الشَّيْبَ وَلَا تَشَبَّهُوا بِالْيَهُودِ» خَالَفَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كُنَاسَةَ رَوَاهُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ

Translation

  5. Ibn ʿUmar

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Change gray hair, and do not imitate the Jews." Muhammad b. Kunasah differed from him; he narrated it from Hisham b. Urwah, from Uthman b. Urwah, from his father, from al-Zubayr.
