أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ التَّرَجُّلِ إِلَّا غِبًّا» خَالَفَهُ يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَمُحَمَّدٍ قَوْلَهُمَا

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. Bashhār
  2. Abū Dāwud
  3. Ḥammād b. Salamah
  4. Qatādah
  5. al-Ḥasan

✧ The Prophet ﷺ forbade combing the hair except every other day. Yunus b. Ubayd differed from him; he narrated it from al-Hasan and Muhammad as their saying.
