أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنْ مَنْصُورٍ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ ذَرٍّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ مَهَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَصَدَّقْنَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ وَلَوْ مِنْ حُلِيِّكُنَّ فَإِنَّكُنَّ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ عِلْيَةِ النِّسَاءِ» وَلِمَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «لِأَنَّكُنَّ تُكْثِرْنَ اللَّعْنَ وَتَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O women, give charity even if it is from your adornments, for indeed you are the majority of the inhabitants of Hell." A woman not belonging to the noblest of women asked, "Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Because you curse frequently and are ungrateful to your spouses."
