✧ The Permissibility of Eating and Drinking During Menstruation and Benefiting from its Blessings

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى فِي حَدِيثِهِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْمِقْدَامُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ «كُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ وَأنا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ عَلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي شَرِبْتُ وَكُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ فَيَأْخُذُهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانِ»

Translation

✧ that he heard 'A'ishah saying, "I would drink while I was menstruating, then the Prophet ﷺ would take (the vessel) and place his mouth on the place where I had drunk. And I would eat meat from a bone, then the Prophet ﷺ would take it and place his mouth on that place."
